2021-2022 KEHA Reports Due for Individuals and Clubs – Now is the time to record individual Volunteer Service Unit (VSU) hours, as well as for CLUBS to record both their VSUs and their Program of Work report forms for the eight educational chairmanships. There are instructions and links to paper forms on the reports page. Individual and club reports are due by July 1. After July 1, the links on the website will change as COUNTY reporting will then begin. County reports are due Aug. 15.
2022 Cultural Arts Contest Winners – The 2022 KEHA state cultural arts exhibit and competition was held May 10-11, 2022, at the 88th KEHA State Meeting in Owensboro, Ky. KEHA members from across the state were recognized for their outstanding and beautiful exhibits. Lists of all blue and purple ribbon winners are available on the KEHA Cultural Arts Chairman web page. Also linked on that page are the 2022 Creative Writing Contest winners and entries.
Leadership Academy – During the 2022 KEHA business meeting, the voting delegates approved a proposal to fund and hold a second KEHA Leadership Academy on March 1-3, 2023, at Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park. The goal of the academy is to strengthen leadership skills for emerging leaders within the organization and increase the pool of leaders available to hold county, area, and state level elected and appointed positions. The academy will recruit up to 30 participants. Each area is encouraged to provide the names of two delegates and one alternate. The application deadline will be Oct. 1 and participants will be notified Nov. 1. The application and other details are coming soon.
Coming Soon! Updates to KEHA Manual – The process of updating the KEHA Manual Handbook and Appendix is moving forward. The updated pages will post to the KEHA website after July 1.
Coming Soon! 2022-2023 Theme-Based Officer Training Materials – KEHA officer training materials specific to the 2022-2023 KEHA year and connected to the theme “We’ve Got You Covered” are in final review. The resource materials will post to the KEHA website by the week of July 5. Materials include a PowerPoint presentation, facilitator’s guide, installation ceremony, dates to remember handout, evaluation, and other resources. Please review and use these materials as best fits with your county and/or area officer training sessions. The new theme-based installation was debuted with the state board during the awards luncheon of the State Meeting.
Recreation, Inspiration and Book List – As we shared previously, the KEHA Board voted to discontinue annual publication of the KEHA Recreation and Inspiration booklets. A monthly roll call and thought for the month will be provided with the theme-based officer training materials the week of July 5. Compilation of the annual Book List is continuing, and the 2022-2023 version is now available on the KEHA website.
Welcome New KEHA Officers – Welcome to the four newly elected KEHA state officers and chairmen who will serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2022.

National Volunteer Outreach Network (NVON) Conference – The 23rd annual NVON Conference will be hosted July 25-27, 2022, in Evansville, Indiana, near the western Kentucky border. Any KEHA member is eligible to register and attend. Meeting details are available on the NVON website.

- June 20 – Postmark deadline for National Volunteer Outreach Network (NVON) Conference registration at regular rates.
- June 30 – KEHA year ends.
- July 1 – Due date for club reports to be submitted to the county (paper forms). This includes both program of work reports and volunteer service logs.
- July 25-27 - National Volunteer Outreach Network (NVON) Conference in Evansville, Indiana.
- Aug. 15 – Due date for county reports to be submitted, including both program of work reports and volunteer service logs.
- Sept. 15 – Due date for Area VSU logs to be submitted to state chair for Leadership Development.
