ALL-NEW KEHA Manual Handbook and Appendix Available Now – The all-new KEHA Manual Handbook and Appendix are now available online at https://keha.ca.uky.edu/content/keha-manual. The State Board appointed a Manual Review Committee in 2024-25 to completely revise the document. In addition, the voting delegates and the state board voted in multiple changes, and some educational chairperson Programs of Work are all new.
NOTE:If you currently use a print copy, the entire document should be replaced. If you have bookmarked specific documents or pages online, please reset your bookmarks.
Manual changes include:
- The KEHA area map has been enlarged and Area county lists have been added.
- Bylaws updates were approved by the voting delegates.
- Standing Rules changes were approved by the State Board.
- All pages have been renumbered.
- Cultural Arts and Heritage provided a new Program of Work (POW), clarified the Cultural Arts Exhibit rules and categories, and had contest changes.
- Family and Individual Development provided a new POW.
- International provided a new POW.
- Leadership Development's POW was completely revised.
- The Volunteer Service Unit (VSU) program was simplified and clarified with additional examples.
- The following POWs have been updated: Environment, Housing, and Energy; 4-H Youth Development; and Management and Safety.
- Food, Nutrition, and Health had a contest revision.
- Scholarships and grants were revised and the forms were updated.
- Master Farm Homemakers Guild information was updated, and the history was updated.
Appendix changes include:
- The contest summary on pages 4-5 has been updated.
- All candidate nomination forms have been revised.
- VSU log and report forms have been revised.
- All educational chair report forms have been updated for the 2025-26 reporting year.
- Area Responsibilities for State Meeting have been clarified and revised.
Theme-Based Officer Training Materials Are Available Now – KEHA officer training materials specific to the 2025-2026 KEHA year and connected to the theme “Discover KEHA – A Hidden Treasure” are now available at https://keha.ca.uky.edu/content/theme-materials. The materials include a Dates to Remember document for the year and a Kickoff/Overview presentation that summarizes all the educational chairperson Programs of Work and shares a reporting statistic from each.
Reports Are Due Soon for Counties – Visit the Reports webpage for a detailed process timeline and links to fillable forms. Please be aware of the following deadlines and submit reports on time. Be sure to use forms dated 2024-2025 to cover the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
August 15 – COUNTY-level reports are due. The county tallies the club-level educational chairperson reports received in July and submits the totals online by Aug. 15, printing a copy to share with each area chairperson. Online educational chairperson report links are available now at https://keha.ca.uky.edu/content/impacts. County VSU reports are due via paper forms.
September 15 – AREA-level reports are due. Area VSU Reports are due to the KEHA State Leadership Development Chairman.
Updated Board Directory Available – The state board directory is available at https://keha.ca.uky.edu/content/state-board-directory. (Note: KEHA members needing state board contact information should request the full directory from their county agent.)
Educational Chairperson Webpage Changes Coming Soon – Educational Chairperson Webpages will be updated in early August. In the meantime, please reference the updated Manual as needed.
KEHA Week is Coming Soon – KEHA Week 2025 will be October 12-18. Theme materials are in development now and will be available in August. New materials will be based around a theme celebrating KEHA President Henrietta Sheffel’s new statewide Program of Work.
Save the Date for 2026 State Meeting – Next year’s KEHA State Meeting will take place May 12-14, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington, Ky. Watch for details coming soon!
Dates to Remember
- Aug. 15 – Due date for county reports. County VSU reports are due via paper forms and educational chair reports must be entered online.
- Sept. 15 – Due date for area VSU reports via paper forms.
- Oct. 12-18 – KEHA Week 2025
