KEHA Advisor Update – from Kim Henken
As you may have heard, I have accepted an additional assignment as Acting Director of the School of Human Environmental Sciences. Thanks to the KEHA members who have shared notes of congratulations via social media. There has been some question as to the impact on my role as KEHA State Advisor. This new assignment does not change my role with KEHA, and I look forward to my continued work with the organization. -Kim
International Update – from Leoni Mundelius, International Chairman
Kentucky Academy Library – The Final Push Campaign
This year the biggest International project that I would like to see finished is the Kentucky Academy Library in Adjeikrom, Ghana, West Africa. We have done the hard part of funding for the foundation, walls, floor and roof. Now it’s time to finish this building project so that we can move to the next level in filling it up with books. Right now it needs windows, doors, ceiling, electrical hardware, finishing the walls, floors, paints and furnishings. In order for this project to be a success, we need all members. Therefore I encourage each county to donate $150.00 by December 31, 2017. I am very grateful to those counties who sent in their donations already. What we do is just a drop in the ocean, but together we will definitely make a wave. Any questions send me an e-mail leoni@mundelius.com or visit the International Facebook https://www.facebook.com/ for updates and information. -Leoni
