KEHA Implements Changes for the Volunteer Service Unit Program

KEHA Implements Changes for the Volunteer Service Unit Program

For many years, the Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association has tracked and recognized volunteerism through the organization’s Volunteer Service Unit (VSU) Program. On July 1, 2018, enhancements to the program took effect. The changes are intended to assist KEHA in improving tracking of volunteerism, expanding recognition, and categorizing hours to better showcase the impact KEHA members have through their volunteer service.

The primary changes to the program include implementation of a category system for reporting volunteer service hours, a new tracking log to ease maintaining a record of service, and an enhanced recognition of service. Every hour of volunteer service is valuable, and the changes emphasize the importance of all volunteerism.
